Education
Kent Street Senior High School staff are committed to maximising student engagement through developing high order thinking skills that will equip them for the future. Many of the students take part in national and international excursions that provide unique learning opportunities and life experiences.
All of the teachers at Kent Street Senior High School are highly qualified in their areas of expertise. They are experienced in teaching students from diverse backgrounds, and tailor learning to meet the needs of international students. Students are encouraged to play to their strengths and build on existing interests, talents and skills.
Students in Years 11 and 12 can study ATAR subjects which will assist them to enter university, general courses, or Vocational Education and Training (VET) course that lead to further training or employment. All three pathways offer students the opportunity to achieve their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
A broad range of ATAR, General and VET courses including, but not limited to, English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D), Japanese, media, drama, design, business, politics and law, geography and food technology are offered at Kent Street Senior High School.

Students also receive support from a highly qualified career practitioner, who provides advice on employment opportunities and work placements. A VET coordinator assists students interested in pursuing TAFE pathways.
