The teachers at Greenwood College are dedicated and professional. Learning is conducted in an inclusive, challenging and engaging environment, focused on the personal and academic growth of every student.
The school caters for students in Years 7 to 12. Students in Year 11 and 12 complete their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). The school prepares students for university, further training or employment.
The school offers a broad range of ATAR, general, foundation and certificate courses. They offer Approved Specialist Programs in Volleyball and Aviation, as well as school-based elite programs in Dance and Music.
Support for students
Greenwood College has a strong pastoral care program. The Student Services Team includes Program Coordinators, Year Coordinators, Student Support Officers, a psychologist, chaplain and a nurse, who work together to ensure students receive a high level of support.
Students also attend a CARE Group, where they meet with the same teacher every morning. This teacher makes sure students feel connected and happy at school. CARE stands for Cooperation, Achievement, Respect and Engagement, values that all staff are committed to instilling in every student during their time at the college and beyond. A range of activities before and after school and during recess and lunch provide every student with opportunities to be part of the College and expand their interests and hobbies.

Settling in
New students at Greenwood College attend a comprehensive induction program led by the Student Services Team and Peer Counsellors. This program helps students get to know the school, meet friends and learn more about life in Perth. The onsite Intensive English Centre caters for the needs of students who have recently arrived in Western Australia. At any one time up to 40 different nationalities and languages are represented within the centre. Small classes, expert staff and culturally sensitive pastoral care are features of the centre and support students to transition into mainstream school and life in Western Australia.
